Playa dorada golf course
This unique golf experience is 20 minutes from the Puerto Plata resort. It was ranked by the prestigious Golf Digest magazine in 2006 as one of the 100 best courses in the world outside the United States. This course was designed by the legendary Robert Trent Jones Sr., combining natural beauty with a challenging and strategic design, set amidst the lush tropical vegetation of the Playa Dorada resort.
This excellent par 72 championship course stretches around 7,000 yards over uneven but very versatile terrain, where water and bunkers come into play just to test your skills. Each hole offers a unique challenge, guaranteeing an exciting experience for golfers of all levels.

Kids Club
Supervised Kids Club
- The resort offers a dedicated Kids Club that’s supervised by staff daily. It’s designed for children ages roughly 4 to 12 and is open in two sessions — typically 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m. — giving parents a break while kids enjoy organized fun.
Daily Activities Program
- Kids are entertained with a daily activities program tailored to that age group. This usually includes games, crafts, and group fun designed to keep them active and engaged.
Kid-Friendly Extras
- Mini-disco: A little dance party session where kids can enjoy music and movement.
- Kid’s Art Club and themed activities are often part of the kids club offerings.
- Playground area for unstructured play and social time.
Babysitting Services
- Available if you want extra flexibility (usually for an additional fee and with advance reservation)
